The Sox Bloggers Society formally welcomed new members and inducted its newly elected officers in a remarkable ceremony held at Grand Summit Hotel, marking a new era of purpose-driven content creation and community engagement.

The event was graced by co-founder Avel Manansala, who shared a nostalgic recount of the organization’s rich history since its founding in 2008. Manansala’s words served as a reminder of the society’s steadfast mission to showcase the vibrant stories of SOCCSKSARGEN and Mindanao through digital content creation.

Sox Bloggers President Ariel Lalisan inspired the audience as he presented a preview of the society’s upcoming activities and officially launched the organization’s new website. He emphasized the core values that distinguish Sox Bloggers from other creators in the digital space, stating, “What separates us from other digital content creators is our purpose. We are not just any influencer. We are not just any content creator. We are not just any blogger. We are Sox Bloggers.”

The highlight of the event was the oath-taking and induction of newly elected officers, officiated by Rombel Catolico, City Public Information Officer of General Santos City, and Joana Banting-Lapore from the Provincial Information Office of Sarangani. The newly inducted officers included Ariel Lalisan as President, Rofil Mae M. Rillo as Vice President for Internal Affairs, Michael Andrew R. Carbon as Vice President for External Affairs, Francis Kenneth D. Ang as Secretary, Daryl L. Rosales as Treasurer, and Marcelino F. Bendol as Auditor.

The society also proudly welcomed both new and returning members, further strengthening its hive of creators. The “NewBees” included Roselle Serrano, Kath Ilejay Tan, The Gypsies List, Mamanonzkie Salon, DJ Betina Briones, and Matt Abain. Meanwhile, the “OGs” who reaffirmed their commitment were GenSan News Online, Living in the South PH, Chix and Tell, Michael “Manay” Carbon, Kenn SOX, The Kuripot Guide, Planet Marz, PoppyRazzi, Ganda Ever So Much, Jinky Pascual Borela, You Got Rained, The Walking Eyes Studios, Marbel Boy, Danny Sabino, Isko Wanders, and SirNardx.
After the formal program, attendees indulged in a sumptuous banquet prepared by Café Summit. The menu featured new offerings and signature dishes from their branches across the Philippines, including Tagaytay Bulalo, Tuna Belly Sisig, Danggit Aglio Olio, and Pinakbet Paella. Attendees were also delighted by Muslim-friendly dishes such as Chicken Lininggil, Beef Sinina, Paksiw na Pompano, and Nasi Kuning, making the culinary experience diverse and inclusive.

Grand Summit Hotel General Manager Jessie Chua also expressed his support, assuring that the Sox Bloggers will always be part of the hotel’s future campaigns. He shared a memorable remark: “Where the bees are, everyone swarms.”

Adding to the excitement, Grab Philippines showed its support for the event with Manager Ezra Espina delivering a message of encouragement and distributing exclusive merchandise to participants. Her presence highlighted the strong partnership between Sox Bloggers and Grab in fostering a thriving digital content ecosystem.

With a renewed vision, strong leadership, and unwavering support from partners, the Sox Bloggers Society is buzzing with excitement for a year filled with impactful engagements and purposeful storytelling. As the society continues its mission, it looks forward to creating meaningful content, fostering collaborations, and generating All That Buzz in the digital world.
